Home Education Art Class (In-person)

Art @ Whipsnade

This is a lovely supportive Art group for home educated children aged 6-16.

Younger children are very welcome but will need a parent to stay and support.

Our brilliant new venue has plenty of space to park, with a small play area for siblings. It really is set in beautiful surroundings and has a lovely homely feel.

This new class is slightly longer than usual at 1hr 15 minutes. This means we have longer time for practical work and clearing up, as well as time at the end of the class to gather together to look at our work as a group.

As this venue is bigger than our studio we can accommodate a wider age range, and will be able to differentiate the task to suit different levels. Depending on the group size and age range we may have 2 teachers.

Projects will range from drawing and painting, collage, 3D, ceramics, silk painting, printmaking and more.

Mondays 1 – 2:15pm

Ages 6-16

Home Education Teen Masterclass (Online)

This class is perfect for those who would like to develop and improve their skills in a wide range of media, without the pressure of formal assessments, grades or exams. The lessons will cover a wide range of skills and techniques all underpinned with an understanding and appreciation of Art History.

As students will be working on level 2 (GCSE) based skills, this will be an excellent way to build up an extensive and varied portfolio that could be used to support applications to study Art and Design in the future. It is equally well suited to those who just want to try new art techniques and processes just for fun!

Mondays 10:45 am – 12:15 pm

Ages 13+
